It’s not every day that a customer tries a product for the first time and is so satisfied she ends up owning the place, but that’s exactly what happened to Lori Rincones.
Rincones and her husband, Randy Hagg, next month are opening Amazing Lash Studio at 2088 East Beltline Ave. in Knapp’s Crossing. The franchised eyelash extension service has more than 200 studios across 29 states, but this will be its first Michigan location.
Rincones and Hagg were on vacation in Phoenix last year when she decided to try her first eyelash extensions. Obviously, she was pleased with the results.
“My wife and I have always been businesspeople and we are proud to bring the first Amazing Lash Studio to Michigan to fill an unmet need for eyelash extensions in the area,” Hagg said. “Amazing Lash Studio offers an inviting, comfortable and spa-like experience at an affordable price point, making it possible for more women to enjoy this unique service.”
The franchise happens to be headquartered in Phoenix, and with one discussion leading to another, they decided to take the concept back home.
Store construction now is underway and it will feature 10 individual, private rooms. This is the couple’s first Amazing Lash Studio and they plan to hire about 20 people.
They also plan to open two additional West Michigan locations in the future.
The Knapp’s Corner deal was facilitated by Colliers International West Michigan advisers Jon Geenen and Earl Clements.
Geenen said an eyelash extension studio will be a good fit with surrounding businesses.
“Amazing Lash Studio joins a complementary mix of businesses at Knapp’s Crossing including Woodhouse Day Spa and Ulta,” Geenen said. “Colliers is always keeping an eye out for new and exciting brands to bring to West Michigan and we’re delighted we could find them space in a growing retail center.”
