The Lakeshore Museum Center will be hosting “An Evening with the Hackleys” from 6-9 p.m. on Sept. 11 at the Hackley and Hume Historic Site, 484 W. Webster Ave. in Muskegon.
The annual September 11 Community Day of Remembrance and Scout Salute event, which is normally held outside on the plaza of the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum, will include additional activities at different locations, including the Traverse Bay Metro Fire Station and at the USS LST 393 – World War II Landing Ship in Muskegon.
In partnership with the Grand Rapids Community College’s Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Grand Rapids Public Museum will host a lecture entitled Understanding Different Kinds of Minds and Sensory Needs by Dr. Temple Grandin, a professor of Animal Science at Colorado State University, at 7 p.m. on Sept. 30 at the Fountain Street Church, 24 Fountain St. NE, Grand Rapids.
Blandford Nature Center will be celebrating the life of its late founder Dr. Mary Jane Dockeray between Sept. 8-11 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. at the center, 715 Hillburn Ave. NW in Grand Rapids.The four-day...
