Le Dîner en Blanc is making a grand return on Saturday, September 7. In an exciting continued partnership with the City of Grand Rapids, the annual worldwide pop-up picnic will take place at a secret venue that ultimately will be transformed into a living gallery for the secret soiree’s 2024 iteration.

This year, the event promises not just elegance and mystery but also a vibrant celebration of culture and creativity, bringing an exciting new dimension to this iconic urban picnic.

“Weʼre thrilled to bring back Le Diner en Blanc to Grand Rapids with a fresh twist,” Hosts Jamecia Adams, Kristian Grant, and Tarona Guy expressed in a written statement, conveying their excitement about the event’s new direction. “This year, we’re celebrating not only the elegance and spontaneity of the event but also the incredible beauty and creativity of our community. Join us for an evening where art, music, and gastronomy come together to create magical memories under the stars.”

Attendees can expect interactive experiences that blend seamlessly with the evening’s festivities, creating a truly unforgettable atmosphere. This year’s event will feature live performances, immersive art activations, and a culinary showcase that highlights the best of Grand Rapids’ gastronomic scene. For the first time, Le Diner en Blanc Grand Rapids will incorporate a dynamic fusion of art, music, and cuisine, reflecting the rich cultural tapestry of the event.

Guests are invited to express their culinary talent by preparing and bringing their own gourmet meal. But since life is busy, guests have the option to select via the eventʼs e-store meals curated by Martha’s Vineyard (items on offer include a build-your-own canapé box, Martha’s gourmet Tuscan sandwich, and more).

The French-influenced gathering has a strict rule regarding alcohol: only wine and champagne are served. In collaboration with Alliance Beverage, this year’s Le Diner en Blanc will introduce a special selection of wines and champagnes from local producers, giving guests a taste of Michigan’s finest. As per state laws, guests are not allowed to bring their own. To enjoy wine during dinner, guests must pre purchase on the event e-store.
