New Holland Spirits, a sibling to the famed New Holland Brewery, is elevating spirits in Grand Haven. Situated at 24 Washington Avenue, Suite 22, this tasting room, which opened on July 26, 2024, marks the distillery’s third location, complementing its other spirits-only rooms in Saugatuck and South Haven. New Holland’s brewpubs in Holland, Grand Rapids, and Battle Creek continue to offer a full-service experience, with delicious menu items and a plethora of beers on tap.
“We are thrilled to bring our brand to Grand Haven,” said Sheila Cunningham, Director of Retail Operations at New Holland Brewing Company. “This new space allows us to share our passion for craft spirits and cocktails with a broader audience, and we are honored to be part of the vibrant Grand Haven community.”
Grand Haven’s new venue promises a cozy and inviting space for visitors to explore New Holland’s diverse spirit offerings.
“This building is architecturally unique and holds great historical importance to the Grand Haven community. We were careful to retain much of the building’s character, including the iconic theater marquee, the bar area, and lighting fixtures,” Cunningham said. “Dave White, VP of Development & Facilities, and his team were very careful and intentional about how they held true to the great vibe of the original space while bringing in subtle modern touches.”
The tasting room features a range of options, from rum and whiskey—including the award-winning Dragon’s Milk Origin Small Batch Bourbon Whiskey—to vodka, gin, canned cocktails, and seltzers. Non-alcoholic choices include N/A cocktails, N/A beer, and sparkling hop water.
Open seven days a week during the summer, with hours subject to seasonal changes, the tasting room hosts live music, weekly trivia, and monthly cocktail classes. Guests can enjoy packaged snacks on-site or bring in food from local restaurants to pair with their drinks.
The New Holland Distilling Company is set to unveil its new spirit tasting room with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday, August 13, at 1 p.m. The public is invited to join in the celebration.
