Townsquare Media and Gull Meadow Farms changed this year’s Ribfest BBQ event into a food truck event.

From 3-7 p.m. July 18, the event will feature local vendors at Gull Meadow Farms. This event will be free to the public and will be following all CDC and social distancing guidelines for the staff and attendee’s safety.

Normally a three-day event held at Arcadia Creek Festival Place in Kalamazoo, the organizers canceled the original event in April due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

But with social distancing guidelines relaxing across the state, the organizers were able to rework the event to comply with safety guidelines.

Gull Meadow Farms also is offering a variety of activities for the public. Activities are ticketed and can be purchased online at gullmeadowfarms.com.

Food truck lineup:

  • Big Moe’s BBQ
  • Bomba’s BBQ
  • Blue Plate Food Truck
  • Bleu Burger Food Truck
  • Ibison Concessions
  • Not Just an Almond
  • Virgil’s BBQ
  • Skinny Kenny’s BBQ

“We are grateful for the partnership and the ability to keep the spirit of Kalamazoo Ribfest alive in our community during this time,” said Kate Morton, Townsquare Media Southwest Michigan market president. “We will miss filling downtown Kalamazoo with live music and the smell of BBQ, but we are happy to be able to provide an afternoon of family fun and celebrate local BBQ vendors at Gull Meadow Farms.”
