What’s better than enjoying a fine spring evening at Lookout Park, with its spectacular west-facing view over the city? Perhaps helping Friends of Grand Rapids Parks plant some new trees there and then enjoying food from some of the area’s premiere food trucks.

The fourth Thursday of each month through September the City of Grand Rapids Office of Special Events and MobileGR present The Tour de Food Trucks at Lookout Park, 801 Fairview St. NE.

On Thursday, May 25 at 4 p.m., a tree planting/park planning event will take place, followed by the arrival of three food trucks, offering up delicious treats from their handsomely decorated mobile kitchens.

Airborne Burritos, specializing in gourmet burritos with ingredients incorporated from other countries, will serve some internationally inspired burritos. Some standout menu items include the Argentinian Avocado, the Panamanian Pineapple Pico and the Quebec Queso.

Hand crafted sourdough woodfired pizza will be available from Arcane Pizza, where all ingredients are purposefully chosen and cooked in house.

And Taste of Toya’s World, will be dishing out a diverse menu of southern favorites, loaded fries, tacos and more.

All of the above considered, Thursday will be a busy night at Lookout Park!

Food trucks arrive at 5 p.m. and stay until approximately 8 p.m. For more information on tree planting, park planning and future Tour de Food Truck events, visit Neighbors of Belknap Lookout website and the City of Grand Rapids Office of Special Events website.
