According to a survey from Rehabs.com, 70% of Michiganders believe that bar and restaurant operating hours should be extended to help businesses financially recover from the hits they’ve taken during the pandemic, compared to the national average of 57%.

Moreover, 55% of people said that they would report a bar if the establishment wasn’t adhering to state guidelines. Every state besides Nevada and Louisiana currently has some sort of bar closure requirements.

The survey also asked how long bar operating hours should be extended and, in Michigan, an average extension of 3.8 hours was what would be deemed acceptable.

South Dakota had the highest number of people who believe bar hours should be extended at 90%, while Massachusetts had just 27% of people in support.
