Long Road Distillers is giving you another reason to get out of bed on Sunday mornings. After expanding its kitchen in May, Long Road has updated its brunch menu to include several more items.
“We were (already) offering simple sandwiches, snacks and salads, but we knew there was an opportunity to offer more options to pair with our drink menu,” said Kyle Van Strien, one of Long Road’s founders. “The goal with the new menu is to mimic our philosophy on crafting spirits and our cocktail program – simple, local, fresh.”
Van Strien highlighted a few items available at Long Road on Sundays.
“I love the simplicity of the Long Road Standard with our house made Aquavit Bloody Mary. The Standard comes with house made bacon, house milk bread toast, eggs, herbed potatoes and a roasted tomato aioli.
“The Turkey Croque Madame is a massive, delicious option as well, with spiced turkey, Wendy Peppercorn mornay, Parmesan, egg, cheddar chips and green onion. We have a few lighter options, like a grain salad, too.”
He also said early risers – those visiting Long Road between 10 a.m. and noon – will be treated to a free house made donut.
A few other items on the new menu include French toast, shrimp and chorizo hush puppies and benedict. Basically, whether you like sweet or savory in the morning, you’ll find something on the new menu to suit your tastes.
Van Strien said the brunch menu continues Long Road’s tradition of working with local farmers.
“We partner with numerous local farmers and vendors to bring the best quality ingredients into the kitchen so we can create a lineup of food offerings ranging from a simple snack to a full meal.”
Brunch is offered from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sundays. The normal kitchen menu is then available from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.
