Hudsonville Ice Cream is stirring up a new limited-edition dessert flavor and bringing back another in time for the holidays.
The Holland-based creamery said Thursday, Oct. 28, it will roll out Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes ice cream on Nov. 1, exclusively at Walmart stores while supplies last. Pints will retail for $2.50.
The new flavor features a creamy white cake ice cream base, pound cake pieces, green sprinkles and a red frosting swirl in homage to the Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes snack that debuted in 1985.
Hudsonville Ice Cream also is bringing back its Peppermint Stick ice cream, an annual limited-edition flavor featuring a creamy vanilla ice cream base with candy cane pieces.
The Peppermint Stick flavor will be available at Kroger, Meijer and other grocery stores throughout Michigan.
