Founders Brewing Co. recently took home a slew of awards for its craft beer marketing efforts.
The 2022 Craft Beer Marketing Awards (CBMAs) Crushie winners were honored in a virtual awards ceremony on Facebook Live and on stage at the Craft Brewers Conference held May 2-5 in Minneapolis.
Established in 2019, the CBMAs is a global competition that honors excellence in the artistic and creative marketing and packaging efforts of breweries, designers and agencies that serve the craft beer retail market.
“We were so impressed by the sheer creativity, innovation and caliber of marketing displayed in entries from around the world in every category,” said Jim McCune, CBMAs co-founder. “More than 500 judges from around the world had their work cut out for them this year, critiquing nearly 40 categories for each of five global regions.”
A total of 250 awards were presented, including 89 platinum Crushie winners, 135 gold Crushie winners and 26 global Crushie winners.
Founders took home nine awards in eight categories:
- Best Brand Identity/Unique Logo Design — gold Crushie for its Bottle Shop Series
- Best Brand Identity/Beer Release Calendars — platinum Crushie for its Founders brand calendar
- Best Original Video/Series — platinum Crushie for its Founders Education Series
- Best Brand Identity/Use of Icon or Mascot in Logo or Branding — gold Crushie for its All Day Series (Woody Wagon)
- Best Brand Identity/Logo Typography — gold Crushie for Panther Cub
- Best Use of Social Media/Overall Content and Aesthetic — platinum Crushie, global Crushie
- Best Use of Social Media/Best Use of Video (IG reels, IGTV, TikTok) — gold Crushie
- Beer Marketing Wild Cards/Most Creative Signage, POS, Brewery Accessories — gold Crushie for its All Day IPA snowboard
