This Thanksgiving, families and friends will gather for more than just turkey, stuffing and pumpkin pie.
Over 5,000 people will gather to participate in the 2019 Grand Rapids Turkey Trot on Nov. 28 downtown, at 130 W. Fulton St.
The Grand Rapids Turkey Trot will feature several 5k events for runners/walkers and a Mini Trot.
The event aims to bring awareness to physical fitness, movement and nutrients, while supporting after-school opportunities for Grand Rapids Public Schools students.
People can register for the Turkey Trot online.
