Dr. Brett T. Brinker, board certified in hematology and oncology, received his undergraduate degree at Boston University and attended medical school at Emory University School of Medicine. His focus is in malignant hematology, and his passion is for treating and caring for patients with blood cancers such as leukemia, lymphoma, and multiple myeloma.
At Cancer & Hematology Centers of Western Michigan, Dr. Brinker says he has the ability to offer tremendous support for patients and their families by providing quick access to psychology counseling, social work, education, 24-hour doctor and nursing assistance, and same-day clinic visits. “I focus on treatment with the cutting edge and rapidly-expanding group of targeted oral medications and immunotherapies to treat blood cancers, while trying to maintain a patient’s quality of life,” Dr. Brinker says. “I am excited that we have a growing list of clinical trials to expand treatment options for our patients as well.”
