A restaurant and tavern on Grand Rapids’ West Side is inviting the public to join its Wednesday evening Whiskey League.
One Bourbon, at 608 Bridge St. NW in Grand Rapids, said it opened ticket sales on Wednesday, Sept. 29, for the second iteration of Whiskey League, a Wednesday evening event in the restaurant’s private dining space that lets attendees age 21 and older drink whiskey and learn from various distillers about how it’s made and how best to appreciate the varieties.
Whiskey League round two runs 6:30-8:30 p.m. each Wednesday from Oct. 20 through Nov. 24.
“To put it simply, it’s a chance to drink great whiskey during a series of exclusive events in our private dining space, the Lounge and the Oak Room, and who wouldn’t want to do that?” the restaurant said. “Plus, you will be automatically enrolled in our alumni program, guaranteeing you the best of the best we have to offer.”
The full restaurant menu will be available upon arrival in the Lounge and Oak Room.
The $169 registration fee includes six weeks of tastings, a rocks glass with One Bourbon’s logo and a commemorative T-shirt.
Members are allowed to bring one guest per week at a cost of $49 plus tax. Tickets can be given away and/or shared between friends, but ticket holders are asked to let One Bourbon’s Meagan Freriks know of any changes ahead of time by emailing mfreriks@onebourbongr.com, and the transferee will be required to show photo ID upon arrival. No refunds will be available for unused tickets.
Thirty spots are available per league. One Bourbon recommends attendees plan to use Uber or a designated driver on league nights.
