Grand Rapids’ fourth annual Beer Month GR kicks off Feb. 15. The celebration highlights the city’s award-winning craft breweries and beer scene through March 15.

Hosted by Experience Grand Rapids, Beer Month GR encompasses exciting events geared to invite locals and visitors alike to explore the beer scene, including “Cool Brews. Hot Eats,” the 15th annual Winter Beer Festival and more.

More than 30 area restaurants and breweries will take part in the eighth annual “Cool Brews. Hot Eats,” the food component of Beer Month GR. Participating restaurants and breweries will display their unique culinary skills by cooking or pairing dishes with beer.

Participating restaurants and brewpubs include Brewery Vivant, City Built Brewing Company, Founders Brewing Co., Uccello’s Ristorante – Downtown and more. The full list and menus are available here.

Throughout beer month, many local breweries will host regular live music events, offering time to explore many different musical styles and artists. More information can be found online on the “Sounds of Beer City” page.

The 15th annual Winter Beer Festival takes place from 1-6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22 at Fifth Third Ballpark. The festival will feature 150 Michigan breweries and brewpubs, more than 1,100 beer selections, local bands and food for purchase.

Winter Beer Festival tickets, transportation and accommodations can be found here.

Guests staying at participating hotels will receive $20 Uber codes for transportation to and from the festival — one code per room.

Experience Grand Rapids also is offering special deals through its “Beer City Brewsader” passport program, which encourages craft-beer lovers to visit Grand Rapids breweries all year.

Visitors who become a Brewsader during Beer Month GR will receive limited-time gifts in addition to the official Brewsader T-shirt. On Feb. 21, the night before the Winter Beer Fest, passport holders also can receive $1 off their first pint at many participating breweries when they show their passport or app.
