The Grand Rapids Downtown Market is inviting customers to soak up the last days of summer at an outdoor, casual and socially distanced Sip & Savor event this weekend.
The Downtown Market is hosting Sip & Savor from 5-7 p.m. Friday at the market, 435 Ionia Ave. SW, under the market shed.
Attendees will be able to “savor” meals from any of the 19 participating merchants, as well as enjoy happy hour “sips” including $2 PBR, $4 12-ounce craft beer, $6 canned cocktails and more at the outdoor market bar.
A few end-of-summer “savor” options include Fish Lad’s lobster roll featuring Maine lobster; Juju Bird’s hot chicken sandwich on a butter brioche bun, served with crispy fries; and Pho 616’s classic chicken or beef pho soup, simmered for 10 hours.
After dinner, guests can indulge with a scoop of almond toffee crunch or dreamy strawberry (vegan) ice cream available at Love’s Ice Cream & Chocolate.
Outdoor, socially distanced seating will be available, and dogs are welcome.
