We know that getting through a month without your favorite adult beverage isn’t easy. But we’re here to help with a few tasty mocktails — it’s all the flavor without the alcohol.
While most bars and restaurants will be happy to make virgin drinks, there are also a few places that pride themselves on specialty mocktails intentionally made without alcohol.
Get out there and drink up. You might even find a favorite to drink all year long!
Bartender’s Choice
While Butcher’s Union doesn’t have a formal mocktail list, you can ask for the bartender’s choice, and they’ll hook you up with a creative concoction. The best part is it’s one of the cheapest drinks on the bar menu, so it’s easy on your liver and your wallet.
Butterbeer
If you’re a Potterhead, you’ll love Lumber Baron Bar’s butterbeer. It’s made with brown butter batter, topped off with cream soda, handmade cream and a dash of cinnamon.
Grapefruit Sage Mule
Head to Gilly’s Smokehouse for their grapefruit sage mule mocktail. It tastes as it sounds: grapefruit juice meets sage syrup, topped with ginger beer and a splash of lime juice. It’s a citrusy, refreshing drink to power up on vitamin c during flu season! You’ll want to swing by while it’s still available. Their mocktails change seasonally, so it’ll only be available until spring.
Palos Verdes Blue
Lumber Baron Bar’s flowery mocktail will get you thinking of spring. Coconut cordial and lavender syrup brighten the butterfly pea tea base of the Palos Verdes blue, and it’s garnished with a lavender flower and lime wheel.
Prickly Pear Margarita
Did you know that all of Donkey Taqueria’s margaritas can be made virgin? Yes, that’s right. You can get your faves (we prefer the delicious prickly pear). They’ll just add a bit of grapefruit soda for fizz and body. But rest assured, it’ll still pair great with their tasty tacos.
