Paws With A Cause celebrated the grand opening of its newly renovated national headquarters with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, community tours and official proclamations recognizing “Paws With A Cause Day” in Michigan.
The $10 million renovation marks a major milestone for the Wayland-based nonprofit, which has been transforming lives through partnerships with custom-trained assistance and facility dogs since 1979. The updated facility at 4646 Division Ave. features expanded training areas, improved client spaces and upgraded amenities designed to better support PAWS’ mission of helping people live with greater independence, confidence and companionship.
“This renovation represents a new chapter for Paws With A Cause,” said Michele Suchovsky, CEO of PAWS. “It is more than just a building update; the improvements made will allow us the tools and space to expand our reach and meet the growing need for assistance and facility dogs. This was an investment in the future of PAWS and the lives we transform every day. We’re thrilled to open our doors and share this milestone with our community.”
Elected officials presented proclamations officially recognizing Nov. 6, 2025, as “Paws With A Cause Day” in Michigan, honoring the organization’s longstanding impact both locally and across the nation.
Accredited by Assistance Dogs International and a member of Animal Assisted Services International, PAWS serves clients in more than 20 states. Since its founding, the organization has helped thousands of people thrive through the support of its expertly trained dogs.
