Byron Center-based Miedema Auctioneering Inc. is partnering with ArtPrize to give artists an online auctioning platform to sell their 2021 entries and for the public to purchase them.

Over 450 artists will have the opportunity to auction off over 700 pieces from this year’s ArtPrize at artprizeauction.com. Artists will have a QR code beside their entries, which will direct the public to the auction site and their artworks. Individuals also can place an offer on an entry as a fixed price.

“This will be a truly unique opportunity for the public to bid on and buy artwork while attending ArtPrize,” said Austin Miedema, sales and operations specialist of Miedema Auctioneering.

Artists will receive 100% of the bid price, and artworks that will be sold at a fixed price will be on a first-come-first-serve basis for buyers. Bidding for the online auction will be live until 5 p.m. Oct. 4.
