Littlefoot Coffee Roasters launches sock drive

Littlefoot Coffee Roasters is setting a goal to donate 500 pairs of socks to area homeless shelters this holiday season.

The Grandville-based coffee roasting company said Friday, Nov. 19, it is launching its first annual Littlefoot Sock Drive with a goal of donating 500 pairs of socks to area shelters.

“Socks are often the No. 1 requested item in shelters. We asked our café partners to join us in the effort of spreading the message and opportunity to as many people as possible,” said Rosie Quasarano, co-founder of Littlefoot Coffee.

The drive began Saturday, Nov. 20, and runs through Monday, Dec. 20. Drop boxes are in the following locations:

  • Alt City Beverage Company, Grand Rapids Downtown Market, 435 Ionia Ave. SW in Grand Rapids
  • Field & Fire Café, 820 Monroe Ave. NW in Grand Rapids
  • Littlefoot Coffee Roasters, 3049 Broadway Ave. SW in Grandville
  • The Mortals, 111 S. Division Ave. in Grand Rapids

Donations also can be made online. All money raised will go toward the purchase of new socks for community shelters.
