A Kansas City rock band will begin its next tour in Grand Rapids.

Shiner will perform at 7 p.m. Dec. 7, at the Pyramid Scheme, 68 Commerce Ave. SW in downtown Grand Rapids.

The four-member band includes bass player Paul Malinowski, drummer Jason Gerken, guitarist Josh Newton, and singer and guitarist Allen Epley.

Shiner released its newest album “Schadenfreude” in 2021, its first album in 19 years.

Shiner formed in 1992 with Tim Dow as the original drummer. The group released its first extended play record the following year and signed to DeSoto Records. With the addition of Malinowski, Gerken and Newton, the band began a creative high and a busy touring schedule for years, with its 2001 album, “The Egg,” deemed a critical success.

Tickets, $18, are available here.
