The Grand Rapids Gold, the NBA G League affiliate of the Denver Nuggets, revealed its themes and promotional 2021-22 schedule.
The team’s opening night is at 7 p.m. Nov. 23, at the DeltaPlex Arena, at 2500 Turner Ave. NW in Grand Rapids.
The first 500 fans at the Gold’s home opener will receive a gold-branded headband and a season schedule as the team takes on in-state rival, the Motor City Cruise.
At 7 p.m. the following night, the team again will face off against the Cruise at the DeltaPlex. The game will honor military personnel and their families in a Salute to Soldiers promotion. All veterans and active-duty service members with a military ID will receive a free ticket to the games. The first 500 fans who arrive at that game also will receive a schedule magnet.
Other promotions include:
- $20 All American Deal on Tuesdays and Thursdays — includes one general admission ticket, a cheeseburger, fries and soda
- $2 beers and $2 hot dogs on Fridays, plus $5 Founders Solid Gold
- Family Fare Fridays — bring a Family Fare receipt of $25+ to any Friday night game and get two free tickets
- $44 four-pack on Saturdays presented by University of Michigan-Health West — includes four general admission tickets, four hot dogs, and four sodas
