Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park plans to host three summer concert series.
Series include Fifth Third Bank Summer Concerts at Meijer Gardens, Tuesday Evening Music Club and the Jim & Marie Preston Sunday Strings, featuring musicians from the Grand Rapids Symphony and West Michigan.
The 2022 Fifth Third Bank Summer Concerts at Meijer Gardens concert series will take place from June to September. The concerts will feature a mix of alternative, indie, blues and rock. Some of the musicians who will perform are Amos Lee, Foreigner, Australian and Pink Floyd.
The Tuesday Evening Music Club will be held on Tuesday evenings at 7 p.m. in June, July and August on the Frederik Meijer Gardens Amphitheater stage. The music club will feature local and regional musicians.
The Jim & Marie Preston Sunday Strings will return on Sundays led by violinist Haijin Choi. The chamber music performances will take place throughout Meijer Gardens and will feature combinations of violin, harp, marimba, mandolin and cello.
“Meijer Gardens looks forward to presenting a diverse group of world-class artists this summer across these three wonderful concert series,” said David Hooker, president and CEO of Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park. “We are extremely grateful for the support of the community that allows us to continue to advance our mission of promoting the enjoyment, understanding and appreciation of gardens, sculpture, the natural environment and the arts.”
Meijer Gardens members will have the first opportunity to purchase tickets for the 2022 Fifth Third Bank Summer Concerts at Meijer Gardens series at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 23. Tickets will go on sale to the general public Saturday, May 7.
Meijer Gardens will release its complete lineup in April.
