Frauenthal Center unveils 2021-22 season

A performing arts center in Muskegon unveiled its lineup of offerings for the 2021-22 season.

After closing its doors for over a year, the Frauenthal Center, at 425 W. Western Ave., Suite 200, in downtown Muskegon, is welcoming patrons back, the organization said Monday, Nov. 1.

“The Frauenthal Center team and volunteers are ready and eager to welcome back patrons to this wonderful community cornerstone of arts and entertainment,” said Eric Messing, executive director of the Frauenthal Center.

Tickets for Frauenthal performances are available at etix.com or from its box office from 11 a.m.-5:30 p.m. weekdays.

Theatergoers can expect the following productions at the center this season:

“The Nutcracker,” 3 p.m. Dec. 18 — The West Michigan Youth Ballet will bring “The Nutcracker” to the Frauenthal Center for a family holiday experience.

Dance Theatre of Harlem, 7:30 p.m. Feb. 1 — Presenting a vision for ballet in the 21st century, this 18-member, multiethnic company performs a forward-thinking repertoire that celebrates empowerment through the arts for all.

Alley Door Club, 7 p.m. second and fourth Fridays from January-March 2022 — Live music, dancing and full cash bar. Doors open at 6 p.m. Band plays from 7-10 p.m. A full list of bands is at frauenthal.org/shows-tickets.

Free Family Movie Days, 3 p.m. Sundays through May — This monthly series presents an opportunity for Muskegon-area families or those looking for a fun and free afternoon to experience the Frauenthal Center. No ticket required. A full list of movies is at frauenthal.org/shows-tickets.
