As owner of two Pump House Frozen Yogurt Bar locations and employer to nearly 50 people, Kristy Wright understands the importance of amazing customer service, proper management, consistent hard work, and attention to detail. She thrives on being part of the local community and having both of her Pump Houses serve as go-to gathering places for the surrounding neighborhoods. “My staff and I love making people feel welcome and happy in our establishments,” she says. “We truly enjoy offering a sweet treat to our patrons, whether they’re on a first date, celebrating a team win, enjoying family time, or out having fun with friends. So much of it is about helping our guests make memories.”
After working in the corporate world for 19 years, Kristy took a leap of faith to leave that role and become an owner of these franchises, but she’s never been happier. She doesn’t do it alone, however. Kristy credits the manager of her Rockford shop, Samantha, (who takes on a variety of responsibilities without skipping a beat) for helping her achieve so much success and positive impact. Part of that impact comes from the many fundraisers they host for local teams, clubs, and special interest groups.
