According to a survey by GearHungry.com, 11% of Michiganders have regretted posting a negative review about a business or service online.

The statewide percentage is lower than the national average of 18%.

North Dakota and Vermont tied for the most people who have regretted their negative reviews online at 50%, while Alaska was last at 7%.

Additional results from the survey showed that more than one-third of people say they’re more likely to post a negative review when they’re in a bad mood. Also, 35% of people said they were more likely to post a negative review about a larger company than a smaller business.

Nearly 1 in 4 people said they post their negative reviews immediately after writing them without thinking about potential consequences.
