A new online course prepared by registered nurse and certified sexuality educator Wendy Sellers is available for parents with children entering puberty.

“Preparing Parents for Puberty” consists of six video lessons with supporting documents and resources. They address topics like “The Talk,” “Empower Children” and “5 Skills Your Child Needs.”

Sellers, also known as “The Puberty Lady,” is the creator of “Puberty: The Wonder Years,” a curriculum schools across 33 states and eight other countries have used for years. Now, she has formatted those lessons for use at home.

“The shift to education at home due to COVID-19 was the spark we needed to bring ‘Puberty: The Wonder Years’ to parents,” Sellers said. “Parents have always been a key to successful puberty experiences for children. As their child’s trusted adult and caregiver, they can be equipped with the education and support they need to help their child navigate this tricky time in life.”

The curriculum is typically priced at $150 but now is available for a limited time for $49.95 at pubertycurriculum.com.
