YWCA West Central Michigan in Grand Rapids unveiled new tapestry artwork on Oct. 2, marking the start of Domestic Violence Awareness Month. The permanent installation, located at 25 Sheldon Ave. SE, celebrates women’s stories, healing and resilience.
The artwork is part of Women’s Woven Voices, an international collaborative art project founded by artist Brecia Kralovic-Logan. The tapestry panels will become a permanent installation at YWCA West Central Michigan, reflecting themes of healing, resilience and the power of women’s stories.
The unveiling also marked the introduction of Gretchen Murphy as the organization’s new board president.
The artwork aligns with YWCA West Central Michigan’s mission to support survivors and empower women throughout the region.
