Grand Rapids Brewing Co. opened a new outdoor mini bar.
The Grand Rapids-based brewery on Friday, Sept. 17, held a ribbon cutting for its new GRBC Mini-Bar, which is located on the north side of the building.
Grand Rapids Brewing Co. invited representatives from the Grand Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce to be on hand at the event, which also featured live acoustic guitar music by Jeremy Verwys, GRBC beer on tap and ultra-thin crust pizza.
“GRBC Mini-Bar is the perfect addition to the downtown refreshment areas. In the past 18 months, our industry has been up against the odds, and we needed to make an investment in our city in the same way they’ve invested in us,” said Justin Pollock, beverage manager at BarFly, the parent company of GRBC. “The downtown refreshment areas were made available with the help of our community, elected officials, downtown organizations and many more. It’s only right we invite those who worked so hard behind the scenes to advocate for these opportunities, to celebrate the new mini slice of our brewery.”
The outdoor bar features GRBC’s Silver Foam lager, Fish Ladder IPA, Heltzer Seltzer and a rotating selection of new brews from head brewer Ramsey Louder. Paired with the beer list, the mini bar will feature GRBC’s ultra-thin crust pepperoni, cheese and specialty pizzas for people to eat in the downtown social zones or at the patio seating.
GRBC Mini-Bar, located on W. Fulton Avenue between Ionia Avenue SW and the Van Andel Arena, is open 5-10 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
