St. Cecilia Music Center canceled five of its remaining live in-audience concerts for the 2020-21 season because of COVID-19 restrictions.

However, the Marc Cohn concert still is scheduled for Aug. 21.

The five remaining concerts were scheduled from April through June. Many of the performers who were scheduled to perform have rescheduled for SCMC’s 2021-22 season.

The new dates for the live-in-audience concerts will be announced in April. There are still free virtual performances to watch online, including jazz, folk and the Chamber Music Society series

The final live concerts that have been canceled include:

  • April 29: Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center – The Brahms Effect
  • May 6: Sam Bush
  • May 8: Dee Dee Bridgewater
  • May 13: Watkins Family Hour
  • June 3: Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center – Sensational Strings

St. Cecilia Music Center will not be holding over tickets for the remaining five concerts. Those who have purchased tickets for the events will receive emails with detailed information about refunds and/or converting the value of tickets into a gift card or tax-deductible donation to SCMC.
