Music Laser Light Shows Take Over Planetarium

Starting Monday, the Grand Rapids Public Museum’s Chaffee Planetarium is offering music laser light shows every day this week.

Visitors can recline, relax and rock out to laser light performances set to popular and classic music. From Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin to 90’s hits and today’s hottest pop, the planetarium is offering something for every musical taste.

Shows include: Laser Beatles, Pink Floyd’s The Wall, Laser Vinyl (the best of classic rock), Laser Zeppelin, Laserpolis (pop, rock, alternative and oldies), Laser Country, Electro Pop (today’s hottest hits), Lase Rock (classic rock), Laser Tribute (great artists whose music has inspired many), Electrolase (electronic dance music), and Metallica.

Laser light shows will take place starting Monday, July 24 and continue through Sunday, July 30. Shows begin at 3 p.m. or 4 p.m. each day and continue with the last show at 9 p.m.

Tickets to shows are $4 with GRPM general admission and $5 for planetarium-only tickets. Members receive free admission to planetarium shows. For a full schedule and to purchase tickets in advance visit the Chaffee Planetarium website.
