Families who receive food assistance, such as SNAP or WIC, can visit Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park for $2 per person, up to four people.

The low-ticket price is a result of Meijer Gardens joining Museums for All, an access program of the Institute of Museum and Library Services, administered by the Association of Children’s Museums.

The goal of the program is to encourage people of all backgrounds to visit museums regularly and build lifelong museum-going habits.

More than 500 institutions participate in the initiative, including art museums, botanical gardens, children’s museums, science centers, zoos, history museums and more. Participating museums are located nationwide, representing 48 states.

To receive the discounted price, individuals must show their SNAP Electronic Benefits Transfer or WIC card.
