The Listening Room at Studio Park is relaunching WYCE’s (88.1 FM) remote broadcast radio show GR Live on Thursday.

The radio show, which will begin at noon every Thursday, will feature two musical acts, interviews with community events representatives and sponsorship messages.

“The return of GR Live is exciting for WYCE, musicians, nonprofits and the entire community,” said Jess Martin, radio WYCE’s station manager. “Whether you’re back in the office, working from home or just looking for something to do in downtown Grand Rapids on a Thursday, it’s the best break you can take in the middle of your day. Where else can you enjoy lunch, music and connect with what’s going on in West Michigan and beyond all at once?”

The remote radio show will take place in either the Listening Room venue or Studio Park’s piazza, both are located in Studio C’s Studio Park entertainment complex at 123 Ionia Ave. SW in downtown Grand Rapids. Portions of the broadcast will be available at wyce.org.

The complex includes One Twenty Three Tavern, an American tavern that will offer lunch services during the show. Patrons who purchase from the tavern can receive parking validation from the complex’s Studio Park parking garage.

WYCE is Grand Rapids’ only community-funded radio station that is operated by volunteers and managed by a small staff at Grand Rapids Community Media Center.
