John Ball Zoo will host its annual Zoo Goes Boo event during the weekends of Oct. 16-18 and Oct. 23-25.

From 10 a.m.-5 p.m., visitors are encouraged to wear appropriate costumes for the family-friendly event. The zoo will have decorations, costumes and candy, along with its animals. However, there will be some changes that adhere to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines.

Instead of treat stations throughout the zoo, there will be a one-way treat trail that have decorated booths with plexiglass and are socially distanced from one another and other guests. There will be sanitization for hands and surfaces, and fewer groups along the trail to prevent congregation.

Masks will be required indoors for anyone ages 5 and over, as well as outside when 6 feet of distance is not possible between other guests.

Guests are encouraged to bring their reusable treat bags or purchase one from the zoo’s gift store.
