GR|MAG’s Top Weekend Picks

1011

It’s the last weekend of 2018 and GR|MAG has some suggestions on how to spend it. If you’re looking to hang with the whole family you’re in luck. Sesame Street Live is coming to town, or you can enjoy Snowflake Break at the Grand Rapids Public Museum. For some adults-only entertainment, two Michigan Street bars have paired up for a pub crawl, or head north to Rockford Brewing for live music.

Sesame Street Live! Make Your Magic @ DeVos Performance Hall
(Saturday & Sunday)

You and your family have four chances to see Sesame Street Live this weekend.

When magician extraordinaire Justin visits Sesame Street to put on a magic show for the whole neighborhood, Elmo wants to be part of the big event. But there’s one problem…Elmo doesn’t know how to do magic!

That’s when Elmo teams up with Abby and Justin, embarking on an amazing journey where Elmo will discover the “power of yet” —the lesson that with perseverance and practice, nothing can stand between you and your dream. Along the way, Elmo and Abby, joined by their friends Cookie Monster, Big Bird, Grover, Rosita, Count von Count, and Gonger, discover the many magical moments in everyday life.

Performances take place at DeVos Performance Hall on Saturday, Dec. 29 at 10:30 a.m. & at 2:30 p.m. and on Sunday, Dec. 30 at 10:30 a.m. & 2:30 p.m. Purchase tickets here.
