A local hotel will celebrate Halloween with a costume contest and prizes.
The JW Marriott Grand Rapids is bringing back Events by JW, starting with Just Wicked on Oct. 30 at 235 Louis St. NW.
There will be spirits, dancing and music by DJ Composition. Guests are encouraged to wear Halloween costumes to participate in a contest judged by a special guest. Prizes will be given to the first-, second- and third-place winners.
The first-place winner will receive $500 and a one-night stay at the JW Marriott Grand Rapids. The second-place winner will win $250 and a one-night stay. The third-place winner will be awarded $100 gift card to JW Marriott Grand Rapids’ French bistro, Margaux.
Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. Tables in the R.I.P. section are $500 for 10 guests and include bottle service with Belvedere vodka, Tanqueray gin, Bulleit bourbon and mixers. Tickets for the event can be purchased here.
