Australian singer and musician Daniel Champagne will make a stop in West Michigan during his summer 2022 tour.

Champagne will perform at 7 p.m. Sunday, July 31, at Seven Steps Up, at 116 S. Jackson St. in Spring Lake.

He will play music from his sixth album, “Trying to Hold the Setting Sun,” in a new show celebrating his first American tour since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Champagne’s 38-date U.S. tour will kick off in Seattle on June 30 and will run through Aug. 21, where he will end his tour in Gainesville, Florida.

A classically trained guitarist with folk-rock style, Champagne has been touring professionally from age 18. He has produced five studio albums with the sixth to be released June 29 in anticipation of his tour. Champagne previously shared the stage with INXS, Judy Collins, Tommy Emmanuel and many more.

Champagne’s song “Holding the Moon” from his album “The Gypsy Moon Volume II” won the award for best Folk/Americana/Roots song at the International Acoustic Music Awards in 2015.

Tickets for the show start at $25 and are available here. A cheese plate add-on is available  courtesy J-Dubs Wine & Market. Doors for the show open at 6:15 p.m.
