Circle Theatre will be hosting a pop-up concert series through September on its lawn.
The Circle Popup Concert Series will be from 7-8 p.m. Monday and Tuesday nights at 1703 Robinson Road SE. It will feature local musicians, a variety of music and family entertainment.
Concert guests are asked to bring their picnic blankets or beach chairs. Social distancing between groups will be enforced, and masks, when not seated, are required. Tickets are $15 with 10% of the proceeds from the night going to the performers.
The concert series artists lineup and dates:
- Monday, Feathers & Roses: Duo of Nicholas Huffman and Taylor Derosse will perform contemporary songs. Huffman performed at Circle Theatre in the production of “Annie” and the Circle Summer Concert “Feelin’ Groovy: The Music of Simon & Garfunkel.”
- Sept. 8, Vanessa Allen and Debra Perry: Perry previously performed at Circle Theatre in productions such as “Smokey Joe’s Café,” “Ain’t Misbehavin” and “Carrie The Musical.” She also was the music director for “Run The World: 80 Years of Girl Groups.” Allen was the music director for Circle’s productions of “Smokey Joe’s Cafe,” “Ain’t Misbehavin,” “The Marvelous Wonderettes: Caps & Gowns,” “A Chorus Line,” “Joseph & The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” and more.
- Sept. 22, Ellie Frances: Frances was a past Circle Theatre performer in productions, which includes “Hair,” “Rumors,” “Rent,” “The Who’s Tommy,” “Sunday In The Park With George” and “Oliver!”
- Sept. 28, Colin Tobin and Jeff Kemperman: Tobin performed in the first Circle Popup Concert as well as Circle concerts, including “The Harmonizers”, “Take It To The Limit: The Music of the Eagles,” “Anyway You Want It: Arena Rock Anthems,” “Go Your Own Way: The Music of Fleetwood Mac” and “Imagine All The People: Songs That Inspire.” Kemperman performed roles in “Rock of Ages” and “Monty Python’s Spamalot,” as well as Circle Concerts “Edge of the Millennium: Top Hits of 1999,” “California Dreamin’: Cool Cali Vibes Past & Present” and “Take It To The Limit: The Music of the Eagles.”
