From events honoring Black History Month to parties in transformed spaces, Grand Rapids has plenty to do this weekend. You can also hear Mayor Rosalynn Bliss’ plans for the city in 2018 and enjoy several rounds of the city’s best stouts.
You don’t have to have a green thumb to volunteer this month to help plant 120 trees across the city.
Earlier this year, Mayor Rosalynn Bliss announced “Small Giants: Companies That Choose to Be Great Instead of Big” as the 2017 Mayor’s Book of the Year. Now, Books and Mortar is hosting a book discussion in partnership with Local First to talk about the book and how Grand Rapids can become a “small giant.”
