Now, Books and Mortar is hosting a book discussion in partnership with Local First to talk about the book and how Grand Rapids can become a “small giant.”
Author Erin McCahan is smitten with West Michigan, particularly Lake Michigan, so she made the lake a character in her latest book, “The Lake Effect,” which came out on Tuesday.
The Grand Rapids Public Library’s GR Reads program focuses on more than getting people to pick up a book. The program is designed as a community building opportunity with a variety of events spanning the summer.
