Fall is coming to Gaslight Village this Saturday, Oct. 10, when the East Grand Rapids Harvest & Beer Festival turns downtown into an open-air celebration of the season, with live music, local craft beverages, food and family activities from noon to 6 p.m.
Now in its third year, the festival has quickly become one of East Grand Rapids’ signature community events, drawing approximately 5,000 attendees annually. Wealthy Street will be blocked off between Lakeside Drive and Croswell Avenue, giving residents and visitors plenty of room to wander through the festival, enjoy the music and take in the fall festivities.
This year’s live entertainment lineup features The Yeti’s, DJ AB and Melophobix, with music running throughout the afternoon.
More than 15 local breweries and beverage partners will offer beer, wine and canned cocktails, alongside food trucks and local restaurant offerings. Families can enjoy kids’ games, pumpkin painting and other activities, while guests looking for a little extra can purchase access to the festival’s VIP area, featuring food, a private bartender and other amenities.
Admission is completely free, allowing families and community members to enjoy the atmosphere, live entertainment and festivities throughout Gaslight Village. Costs apply only to optional purchases such as drink tickets, children’s activities and VIP access.
“This event has really become a part of what makes East Grand Rapids and West Michigan so special,” said Festival Director Andrew Grashuis. “It’s businesses, volunteers, families and neighbors all coming together to have a great time. But also knowing that at the end of the day we’re doing it for a greater purpose. The more this event grows, the more we’re able to give back to our local community – and that’s what our committee is most proud of.”
The 2026 festival is being presented in partnership with the East Grand Rapids Community Foundation, along with the generous support of local businesses and sponsors.
And while the Harvest & Beer Festival is certainly a celebration of fall and community, it has a purpose beyond bringing people together: proceeds from the event benefit local charities and organizations.
