The city of Wyoming will host its 17th annual Trick or Treat Trail at Lamar Park from 4-6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 9.

The free event welcomes kids and families to put on their favorite costumes and walk the Lamar Park trail, where 100 local businesses, clubs and organizations will host stations to hand out candy, coupons and other goodies. Families also can look forward to activities such as inflatables, face painting, music and games.

Costumes are welcomed but not required to participate in the event.

To prioritize public safety, the city of Wyoming will have COVID-19 safety measures in place consistent with state of Michigan requirements. At minimum, all participants are encouraged to wear a mask or face covering at the event.

“Trick or treat trail was created to be a fun, safe, family-friendly event for the fall, providing an alternative to traditional Halloween events,” said Rebecca Rynbrandt, director of community services for the city of Wyoming. “Trick or Treat Trail gives families the perfect opportunity to interact with neighborhood businesses while enjoying the outdoors at Lamar Park and the beauty of the fall season.”

In years prior, the event hosted more than 6,000 kids, parents, grandparents and friends.
