Visitors can wear their favorite superhero costumes and meet some of their favorite heroes on Superhero Day from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday at John Ball Zoo.

Guests will be able to meet and greet Warrior Women, American Hero, Bat Hero, Spider Hero, Woman of Steel and Panther Hero, but in a socially distant way.

Instead of individual photo opportunities with each character, guests will have the chance to meet and take photos with a group of characters on the Bissell Tree House deck.

Visitors also can see the Zoo’s BRICKLIVE Animal Paradise, meerkats and the new inclusively designed entry.

To stop the spread of COVID-19, guests who are age 5 and older and who are medically cleared to wear a mask must wear one while in all indoor public spaces. Also, if individuals cannot create 6 feet of distance from themselves and others, they must wear a mask outdoors, excluding children under the age of 5.

There will be a limited number of tickets and the zoo recommends that you reserve your tickets online by visiting John Ball Zoo’s website. Tickets at the gate are not guaranteed.

Admission to the zoo, at 1300 W. Fulton St., is $14 for adults, $11 for children (3-12 years old) and seniors, and children 2 and under are free.
