Kids’ ArtFest at GR Children’s Museum

Get the whole family in the spirit of ArtPrize at the Grand Rapids Children’s Museum Kids’ ArtFest.
Kids’ ArtFest gives children of all ages (and their parents) hands-on experiences with a variety of art mediums, including paint, pastel drawing, sculpture, print making and jewelry making.
In addition, there will be a variety of performances at the entertainment stage, including magicians, a Tae Kwon Do demonstration, Irish dance, musicians and more.
The festival takes place at Grand Rapids Children’s Museum along Sheldon Avenue and Library Street on Sunday, Sept. 24 from noon to 5 p.m. All outdoor activities are free. A discounted $6 admission will be charged to play inside the museum.

Rockford Brewing Co. is partnering with The Mitten Brewing Co. on an all ages group bike ride.
This Sunday, meet at The Mitten for brunch and beer at 10:30 a.m., then hop on your bike and ride the 12-mile trail to Rockford to enjoy music, beer and a beer brat bar at Rockford Brewing’s Harvest Festival beer tent.
The beer tent is open noon to 5 p.m., with live music from An Dro! at 1 p.m. Admission to the beer tent is free, while food and drink tickets are available for purchase.

Imagine the delicious taste of free donuts and cider following a good workout.
This Saturday you don’t have to imagine, you can experience it. Seva Yoga has teamed up with Robinette’s Apple Haus & Winery to offer an outdoor yoga session on the lawn at Robinette’s.
Down Dog Yoga begins at 9 a.m. and is free for Seva members and $5 for non-members. Pre-registration is recommended but not required. Cash-only if paying day of.
ArtPrize on Screen

Enjoy the movie theatre atmosphere while still taking part in ArtPrize.
ArtPrize Nine includes a film festival featuring six feature-length documentary films, each accompanied by a Michigan-made short. All ArtPrize On Screen films are eligible for public voting at ArtPrize 2017, in the time-based category.
The film festival runs Sept. 20-23. All films will screen at the Ladies’ Literary Club, at 61 Sheldon Blvd. SE, next door to the ArtPrize HUB/HQ. Film screening tickets are free and represent reserved seats in the auditorium. Reserve tickets through Celebration Cinema.
Art of Craft Beer Dinner Founders

Founders Brewing Co. and ArtPrize have teamed up to bring you a special edition of the popular Founders Beer Dinner Series. You won’t want to miss the Art of Craft Beer Dinner, this Sunday, Sept. 24 in Founders’ Centennial Room. Experience five courses of mouthwatering dishes each paired with award-winning beers—featuring the ArtPrize Nine official beer, Green Zebra—inspired by the artwork on display in Founders’ ArtPrize Nine exhibition.
The event runs from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., with doors opening at 6 p.m. Get your tickets now and secure your place at the table. Cost is $75 per person.
