The Grand Rapids Griffins will offer different promotions and giveaways at home games.

Specials include food and drinks, bobbleheads and accommodations for fans with special needs at the games scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 25, and Saturday, Feb. 26, at Van Andel Arena, 130 W. Fulton St. in Grand Rapids.

Griffins fans can buy $2 domestic drafts and $2 hot dogs from 6-8 p.m. every Friday game. The $2 promotions will be served at stand one in the lobby, next to section A on the concourse, and at the Hops & Vines stand next to section 120.

Fans can get free rides on The Rapid to and from Friday games by showing their tickets of that night’s game.

Saturday’s game will be a sensory-friendly game, where fans who are sensitive to loud noises and strobing lights can go to sensory rooms, which include seating and activities. The first 2,500 fans in attendance also will receive a Tomas Tatar Champion Series bobblehead.

The Griffins also will host their first Mental Health Awareness night on Saturday, becoming the first American Hockey League franchise to participate in the Hockey Talks campaign. Players will wear a Hockey Talks sticker on their helmets.

Fans can receive Buddy’s Pizza Friends and Family four-packs every Saturday. The pack includes four tickets, one four-square cheese pizza and $20 in concession cash.

Griffins fans can watch the games on WXSP, the sister station of WOOD TV 8 and WOTV. WXSP can be found on all local cable systems, as well as a series of low-power channels across the region, including in Grand Rapids (WOLP channel 27), Holland (WOHO channel 33), Muskegon (WOMS channel 29), Kalamazoo (WOKZ channel 50) and Battle Creek (WOBC channel 14).
