The Grand Rapids Ballet will host a Valentine’s Day weekend event.

The group will present the Eternal Desire show from Feb. 14-16 at Peter Martin Wege Theatre, 341 Ellsworth Ave. SW.

The two-day performance will feature artistic director James Sofranko’s premiere of the romantic “Romeo and Juliet Balcony Pas de Deux” and Trey McIntyre’s “Wild Sweet Love.”

It will be coupled with music from Queen, Roberta Flack and The Partridge Family, resident choreographer Penny Saunders’ “Give Me” and the premiere of “November” by Danielle Rowe. There also will be a second Sofranko premiere, inspired by theoretical physicist Stephen Hawking.

Tickets can be purchased at Grand Rapids Ballet’s website.
