New Holland Brewing Company will host its 4th annual Lightpoint 5K on Saturday, June 17. The race begins with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. at New Holland’s Grand Rapids brewpub, The Knickerbocker, located at 417 Bridge St NW.

This year, the Lightpoint 5k will also raise money for two local charities: GRPS Foundation, a nonprofit that works to help raise money and resources for GRPS and myTEAM TRIUMPH – West Michigan Chapter, dedicated to providing the ultimate experience in road racing and triathlon sport to individuals with disabilities.

The Lightpoint 5K is a celebration centered around Lightpoint, a Functional White Ale that offers a low-calorie option without compromising full craft flavor. Brewed with coconut water, raw honey, and orange peel, this refreshing brew is best enjoyed with friends after a day of hard work, exercise or a 5k run. All participants will receive a race T-shirt, a medal and a $1 pint of Lightpoint at New Holland pubs.

The post-race celebrations at the Knickerbocker will include award ceremonies, sponsor giveaways and prizes. Live music will be provided by local artists, The Legal Immigrant.

Participants must be 21 years or older. To sign up for the race, visit this link.
