Michigan CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) invites you to Stronger with BLUE. April is Child Abuse & Neglect Prevention Month and is represented by the color blue. Join us for a night of advocacy as we experience the difference a CASA volunteer can make in the life of a child in foster care.
Judge Sara Smolenski will be our host for the evening, and former state Sen. Peter MacGregor will receive the first-ever Michigan CASA Child Advocate of the Year Award.
Keynote speaker, Court Appointed Special Advocate and former foster parent Monica Smith will help you understand why every child in foster care needs a CASA volunteer. Her firsthand experience in both roles taught her ending child neglect and abuse requires the access and attention only CASA can provide.
