A pair of Grand Rapids leaders will be honored as Women of Courage and Achievement at a celebration later this month.
Michigan Women Forward said Thursday, April 7, it will host its annual WomanUp & Celebrate event to honor the 2022 Women of Courage and Achievement award winners at noon Thursday, April 28, at the JW Marriott Grand Rapids, at 235 Louis St. NW.
MWF will offer a virtual viewing opportunity as well as the in-person event. The organization will honor:
- Rosalynn Bliss, Grand Rapids mayor, for her work and dedication to the field of child abuse and neglect, and for her leadership in the community.
- Ana Ramirez-Saenz, founder, CEO and president of La Fuente Consulting, for her ground-level expertise in diversity, inclusion and belonging, and for the forward-looking solutions she delivers to address the most challenging diversity issues.
“This event is an opportunity for Michigan Women Forward to lift up extraordinary and inspiring women, and we’re thankful to gather in person this year,” said Natalie Hall, MWF chief development and program officer. “Attendees will be able to connect with and celebrate this year’s honorees while learning more about their achievements and how important courage truly is.”
In-person tickets are $100 and include a seat and lunch at the WomanUp & Celebrate event, as well as a virtual meet-and-greet with one of the Grand Rapids honorees the week following the event. In-person tickets are limited.
Online tickets are $75 and include a link to watch WomanUp & Celebrate LIVE as well as a virtual one-hour meet-and-greet with the attendee’s choice of the Grand Rapids honorees the week following the event.
Other virtual tickets are available for $50 and include a link to watch the event live.
