A horticultural tour will return to a historic neighborhood this weekend.
The Ottawa Hills Neighborhood Association (OHNA) is set to host its 28th annual garden tour from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, June 25.
The free, self-guided event will feature 34 gardens to view around the Ottawa Hills neighborhood in southeast Grand Rapids.
Attendees can begin the tour at Grand Rapids Christian Elementary School, at 1050 Iroquois Drive SE. Parking is available at the school, and maps will be distributed.
The event will feature neighborhood “lemonade stands” with snacks and beverages for purchase.
The garden tour is one of many events slated for this year as Ottawa Hills celebrates its 100th anniversary. OHNA said it plans to host a variety of celebratory activities, including a neighborhood picnic, outdoor movies, food truck events and more walking tours.
The association said it is “excited to mark this milestone anniversary that pays tribute to our history, celebrates today and will influence tomorrow.”
