The Grand Rapids Public Library will be extending its hours of operation at all of its locations beginning June 7.

In addition to extending its hours, Grand Rapids Public Library (GRPL) will reopen all areas of the main library for browsing. Currently, only Level 1 of the Main Library is available for material browsing.

The library also will eliminate appointment requirements in the Local History Department, and it will increase its patron maximums, including the number of people in the building and the length of time in the building.

GRPL has been open with limited hours since February due to COVID-19. It will continue to offer to-go curbside pickup service at the Main Library, West Leonard, Yankee Clipper and Seymour branches. Friends of the Library used book sales will be available at all locations.

There still will be free printing, faxing, copying and scanning services, as well as free Wi-Fi, hotspots and public computers available.

Updates will be posted on the library’s website.
